We would like to take a moment to recognize one of the greatest Dekes there ever was. Read below his obituary written by a fellow Deke, Mickey Allen.

Dear Dekes/Deeks:

Our friend and brother, Jerry Bryant (VT 1972), died on October 6 after a very brief battle with pancreatic cancer. For those of you who have been fortunate enough to know Jerry, you know that he loved his family, his friends and VirginiaTech, and he did all that with his unique style. There was only one Jerry B and he will be greatly missed.

A memorial fund has been set up in his honor to help Brenda, his wife of 38 years. Checks should be made to:

Because the funds go to the church, the contribution is tax-deductible. The church will process all the funds to BrendaBryant for medical bills, mortgage payments and other household expenses. As you may know, Brenda is unable to work due to her disability from arthritis, so any contributions will be greatly appreciated by Brenda and the family.
